Fee: From $690 per vehicle with 1 – 4 persons.
Limit: 3 vehicles plus leader.
Join Stan Shadick for a 2-day self-drive group birdwatching tour from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada to Meadow Lake Park. We will watch for any Spruce Grouse, Ruffed Grouse, Pileated Woodpecker, American Three-toed Woodpecker, Black-backed Woodpecker, Boreal Chickadee, Pine Grosbeak, Common Redpoll and other winter birds.
Situated in northwestern Saskatchewan, Meadow Lake park has become famous for the chance of finding a rare Northern Pygmy Owl which nested in the park in 2023 and has been found in the region in previous year. Late winter owling tours might also see or hear any of the following owl species.
- Barred, Owl
- Boreal Owl
- Great Gray, Owl
- Great Horned Owl
- Northern Hawk Owl
- Northern Saw-whet Owl
Both novice and experienced bird watchers are welcome. A loaner pair of binoculars may be available if requested.
Tax Receipt is available because all proceeds support Saskatoon’s Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation charity.
