OUR PROGRAMS
Are you a teacher, Scout, or Girl Guide leader? Do you organize community events? Our wildlife education programs are tailored to align with Saskatchewan Curriculum topics by grade and can be delivered to accommodate a variety of needs. We have three trained Environmental Educators with different specialties who provide community-based programming about wildlife.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Our presentations range from 30-45 minutes with an opportunity to engage with an interactive display table and/or meet the presentation’s Education Ambassador up close and personal!
Objectives
- To increase awareness and sensitivity towards all wild creatures;
- To provide information about the interconnectedness of all living things;
- To encourage tolerance of and living in harmony with wildlife by providing the opportunity to meet an Education Ambassador.
Cost: $125 per classroom. For presentations outside of Saskatoon, there is an additional mileage fee of $0.72/km. Please note that Edgar the crow lives out of town, so there is an automatic $50 mileage fee for these presentations in Saskatoon.

OUR PRESENTATIONS
Bird Brains – Corvids at Work
Meet Edgar, our Crow ambassador, and see if you can outwit him! Corvid’s intelligence is matched by their curiosity and their socialness. Not your average bird brain!
*Very limited weekend availability
Batty for Bats
If you’ve never realized the cuteness of these flying mammals, then this opportunity is for you! Melanie’s big brown bats are the ultimate in mosquito control. Learn about why humans need these nocturnal “sky puppies” for our own survival.
Surprising Skunks
Skunks are amazing creatures, and are immensely beneficial to our environment. Participants get to meet a safe ‘ambassador’, and learn the surprising secrets of our misunderstood neighbours!
All About Raptors
Saskatchewan’s prairie skies are home to an incredible variety of raptors – from stealthy owls to swift falcons. Discover their role in rodent population control, and the challenges they face both urban and rural settings.
What To Do When – Encounters with Wildlife
This overview of the animals living in our neighbourhoods reviews the natural history of each species, and teaches participants how to determine if and when an animal needs their help.
Backyard Wildlife
From bunnies to birds, foxes to fawns, the health of our urban wildlife is a good measurement of the health of our city. Get to know the urban wildlife in your backyard, learn how they have adapted to survive in proximity to us, in both rural and urban settings.
Sponsorships
Do you know a teacher you’d like to sponsor? By sponsoring a classroom, you give the gift of knowledge. We bring a little bit of WILD to the group! Our presentations engage the students in a discussion about our environment. They learn about some of the wild inhabitants that rely on the local ecosystem to survive, along with cool facts about the animals. The focus on connections between species, including humans, connects the participants with the natural world. That connection and knowledge are designed to encourage appreciation for our wild neighbours, and more positive human-wildlife interactions. You can designate a classroom or group of your choice, or you can leave it up to us!
Education Booths
Interested in having us at a community event rather than a traditional in-class presentation?
Our education booths come with:
– An educator and education ambassador (location dependent)
– Handouts and education materials
– Brochures, pamphlets and activity pages
– Furs, feathers, and other fun items!

These education booths are self-lead and allow us to provide information / education on the go while still providing high-level content to spark compassion for wildlife in our audiences. These short bite-sized demonstrations are the perfect addition to community events, fairs, and other group events.
Email to inquire about pricing.
