Become a Citizen Scientist.
Learn how to make your personal observations, photos and/or audio recordings of birds contribute to our knowledge of their abundance and distribution.
We offer the following 2 online zoom workshops plus an optional outdoor training session led by Stan Shadick.
eBird Training Workshop - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM Friday, May 7, 2021.
Learn how to enter your observations of birds and their breeding evidence into eBird so that researchers can use your data when studying bird distribution and advise governments on the best conservation practices.. We will review how to use both the computer interface and the smartphone app. Also discover how you can also use this software to look for birds you have not previously seen as well as any rare birds in your area. Find out how to use the software to keep your personal year lists and life lists.
Saskatchewan Breeding Bird Atlas Workshop - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM Friday, May 14, 2021.
Learn how to contribute your observations to the Saskatchewan Breeding Bird Atlas Project. We will cover the codes to use for describing the breeding evidence and how to enter these observations using a computer. Learn how to then submit this data to your ebird account in 1 step. We will also cover the use of the new Nature Counts app from Bird Studies Canada.
Outdoor Training Session - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021
